Personal Experience & Biography

I am a licensed mental health counselor specializing in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, disruptive mood dysregulation disorder, and eating disorders. These are many of the disorders facing individuals aged 5-24; however, I also have experience working with adults. As a former public school teacher, I utilize evidence-based therapy practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness techniques to aid my clients in developing effective and healthy coping skills. After earning my master’s of education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisville, I gained experience working with children and adolescents suffering from extensive trauma, behavioral issues, and frequent mental health crises. In 2023, I opened up my client base to include adults facing depression, anxiety, and ADHD. My approach to therapy is developing a compassionate therapeutic relationship and providing each client with the confidence to take control of their mental health. Outside of psychotherapy, I am a dog mom to four amazing rescues and volunteer as a foster mom with a local animal rescue.
